On Thursday I finally visited with a new doctor. She is an internal medicine doctor but she used to be a nephrologist & a nutritionist. This is a good combination for me. I had to fill out pages & pages of health history. On the first page, it asked for my profession. In big (cute) letters, I wrote, “I am a Mom!!!” At the end of the visit, the doctor noticed the phrase and said, “Why does it say you are a man?!” I think she was especially shocked because they had done an EKG – I was on the table without anything on my top & with lots of sticky things stuck to my ribs & collarbone & such. (There was no evidence whatsoever that I was a man.) As a bonus, the doctor kept walking in and out of the room with my EKG-ness exposed to the whole office. Other than that, I really liked her.
