Recipe for Disaster

P1030470One traveling husband + Three kids with the flu + One mom with the flu + Hungry stomachs

Mix generously for eight days.

Note to self: Paper plates & bowls for emergency kit.

Update

: I am so proud of my kids!!! Without me saying a word, Chris realized that this pile of dishes was over Mom's head & unloaded the dishwasher. Unloading the dishwasher prompted Ryan to load the dishwasher and then hand wash the rest of the dishes. I will post a picture in the morning, but the dishes are gone!!! Now if only the homework backup could be so easily taken care of. :)

Funny side-note: Scott's co-worker was looking over his shoulder as he [Scott] looked at this picture. The guy said, "She must have really been sick!!!"

So sorry sweetie. Do the ladies come this week?

The ladies come this week, but they don't do dishes or laundry or most general picking up. They scrub the bathrooms & the kitchen counter tops & vacuum & scrub the floors. It's nice & all but not really the cure all that a magic wand would be.

Jenna, I wish I could come do your dishes for you...really! And help you in whatever ways you need help. Its a bummer to be so far apart. Hang in there, don't be afraid to ask for help, and remember that this too shall pass! Don't forget that you were just recovering from your last illness when this hit--it would be very, very, very reasonable for you to let out a cry for help to your church family! I love you and am praying that you all recover quickly and completely. You should all be immune to the H1N1 virus now, eh? You've been there, done that! (Thinking positive for you!)
Love,
Julie

Oh sweetie, what can I do for you? Please, just say the word and I will be there with whatever you need. I am all better now so please do not hesitate to ask.
