Yesterday, I went downtown & ran with several of my girlfriends. I had a blast & was miserable all in one grand occasion. You will need to read the pictures uphill to understand what happened. ... My phone went dead but we managed to meet up before the race. My calves have been KILLING me but I thought I would try running & just see what happened. My best time ever was 33:11 so I just wanted to beat that. (Well, I really wanted to beat 31:00 but didn't hold my breath.) I ran & my calves were fine most of the way. I walked for a little bit at the water stop but it hurt to walk & hurt to run so I just ran & ran & ran. I decided I would rather hurt for a shorter amount of time. When I rounded the corner & saw the finish line I wanted to sprint but my legs said no! I don't remember much of the race - but when I heard Crystal cheering me on I was SO excited.
My official clock time was 32:56 and the GPS watch said 32:23 for exactly 3.1 miles. Whatever?! I beat my old time by 15 seconds or more. Hooray! I had a blast with my friends & probably look forward to doing more races. But never a marathon - and you can quote me on that one.
Want to see my new favorite gadget? It's almost midnight & I can't figure out how to upload another image to facebook but you can see it here.

Good for you! I just went swimming with my family and on the wall was a huge mirror. Oh, man. How did I get so squishy? Thanks for the inspiration. I've got to get running, again.
YAY! That's great!
Jenna! Now you know how much you help us when you cheer us on during our races. So glad I could be the one cheering for you this time! :) Great job!
You're awesome!!!!! I couldn't have been able to run with sore calves. And you beat your fastest time!
So, you're smiling in 4 out of 5 pictures. That means you loved it and you're ready for a marathon!
And I love the massage bar thingy.
I think I was smiling because I was done & finally at the end of the race I had a song on my ipod that I actually enjoyed.
Marathon? Me? You are a funny gal!
This is so exciting!! I'm so pumped for my race after reading this!! Great job!!
