Homesick

We have lived away from home (Utah) for 18 of our 20 years of marriage. Until we moved to Greenville, we visited Utah two or three or four times a year. Now, life is a little more complicated (5 tickets) & airfares are no longer $100 round-trip! We are lucky, really lucky if we can fly back once a year. We are planning on taking a trip and so I called two of my sisters-in-law to see their plans. Talking to them & then peeking at my niece and nephews blogs made me miss everyone & everything Utah.

I count myself very blessed to love my family that I was born into & my family that I married. Great people who live great lives. I am inspired & learn a lot all the time.

It is hard sometimes to live far away from family. We haven't lived near families for over 20 years. Our last family trip to Utah (where Joe's family is from) was over 10 years ago. The same for Minn. and my family. That's why my ward truly becomes my family. And why you are now one of my sisters!! (You're doing a great job, too!)

So glad that you found our blog! I love it when I can hook up with family. I totally know what you mean about missing family when they are a long ways away. Our nearest airport is 4 hours away in Denver and it takes 11 hours to drive home. Although we miss everyone, we are glad to be part of such a great family too. Tell everyone hi for us this weekend at the wedding.

I'm so glad that you found our blog. It's fun to hook up with family all over the place. I know what you mean about missing family, but not wanting to spend a fortune to see them. Our nearest airport is 4 hours away in Denver, and it is an 11 hour drive home. We miss everyone, but we are glad to be part of such a great family too. Say hi to everyone for us this weekend at the wedding.

I miss my family, too. Being away is hard especially when you have such a great connection with your family. I hope your trip goes well. When are you going?

We miss you too!! I keep hoping that you and Julie will move back. Of course, we are moving to Idaho BUT you'd still be closer than you are now. I hope you get to come out this summer!

I am so glad that someone else feels this way. We have only lived away from Utah 3 years...but it seems like we are missing everything. I appreciate your blog and feel connected even though we don't know each other!
